T25 cranking battery
What 's people's experience on the length of time the battery stays at good charge whilst the van is not being used?
I don't use our van as a daily drive but will usually look to go for a spin about once a week at the weekends particularly when its dry and sunny.
I bought a CTEK charger unit and fitted the battery indicator unit but after a week of non-use its indicating a need for a charge. The battery is new and was fitted only a few weeks ago. There's no electrical items hooked up to drain the battery.
Is this normal?

I would say the battery is at fault you should be able to leave the van atleast 4 to 6 weeks with nothing on and it should start straight away .My van has a 75 amp hour battery on it and it is left for that time and its ok .There also may be a power drain on somthing you havnt thought about i.e dash clock fridge ect

My 80amp is good even after 3 months of standing unused, are you sure you don't have any power drain like a stereo?

Another thought..... Try a volt meter on it over a period of time and see if it is draining
! Where did you get the battery from and what brand is it? And what amp rating ?

Doubt it would be fridge .. If fitted correctly will only work with ignition on via a relay (one hopes)

Not sure if there is a dischrage on the electrical system as when checked with a multi-meter around the negative cables returning to the batery the readings indicated no draw/leak in the circuit.
